The Biergarten is a bottle shop and bar with fridges and shelves stocked with cans and bottles to the right and open plan sofa and mix chair seating to the left where a small counter sits on the rear wall. There were six keg options, two from Paulaner and the others from Two Flints, Queer, Phantom and Tempest. I went for the only cask option, which was Santiago, also from Two Flints. It was £5 a pint and was OK, maybe I shouldn’t expect too much from a 3.8% beer, although I hadn’t drunk from a dimpled jug for a long time so that was nice. The owners were very friendly, and it was busy with a very mixed crowd including young families with babies and old gents with beards. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit, but I’d certainly use this place if I lived locally, even though there is no actual beer garden.

Already well described, Biergarten isn't easy to find being below the level of the main road and tucked into a row of shops amongst the residential redevelopment of railway buildings. Look out for their sandwich board on the pavement and follow the signs.
Despite this it was busy enough on our early Thursday evening visit with both inside and outside tables all full of committed beer drinkers.
As mentioned, with its concrete floors, industrial beer shelving and patinaed pine furniture it does feel a little like a shop but no more so than many other micros and as long as the beer is good then the atmosphere tends to follow.
The offer is both bottles, with well stocked shelves to choose from, keg and cask. On cask was Concrete Cow Fenny Popper with Paulaner Weisse and Lervig Farmhouse IPA on keg in addition to a cider. The Farmhouse IPA was passable but didn't demand another and a bottle from Twisted Barrel was all wrong which I put down to its treatment rather than the brewery.
Biergarten clearly has a decent following already and I wish them every success but would really appreciate an improved beer offer.

Quite difficult to find,on the ground floor of a modern development close to the redevelopment of Victorian loco sheds near the Grand Union. It's a modern shop unit with ceiling to floor plate glass windows, and some tables outside for al fresco drinking. There are some sofas and farmhouse style pines tables and chairs, the ceiling is covered in domestic lamp shades of various designs. It has a cafe feel, while along two walls there are bottles arranged into regional groups, with a section devoted to local brewers. The small bar offers two kegs and a single handpump which on my trip was offering a Concrete Cow session bitter,so I opted for a keg Lerwig Farmhouse IPA which was quite challenging and very rustic.A bottle of Wiper & True Milk Shake wasn't too fresh, maybe stock doesn't shift quickly and the sunny interior is hardly conducive to keeping bottles in great nick.
God knows that Wolverton needs better pubs, but sadly for me this place hasn't got the execution right, and unlike most micropubs it just doesn't focus much on real ale.
